Jasmeen Foodville chess tourney underway

IT’S all systems go for the 2nd edition Jasmeen Foodville Luzon Barangay’s Indinvidual Non-Master 2000 and Kiddies Under 14, 1950 Chess Tournament on Sunday, July 15, 2018, nine am at the Jasmeen Foodville, ground floor, Amiration Bargain Center near LRT Monumentio station, Super 8 grocery in Rizal Avenue extension, Caloocan City.

“This is our second edition and so far is one of the biggest tournament in Metro Manila. We are looking forward to seeing a lot of participants, surpassing the first edition,” said National Arbiter (NA) Boyet Tardecilla.

Organized by Jasmeen Foodville Eat, Dine and Shop in close copperation with Chess Education For Age-Group (CEFAG) and sanctioned by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP).

Cash prizes await winners with the non-master champion taking home P4,000 and the elegant trophy while the runner-up will receive P2,000 and a medal and the third-placer will settle for P1,000 with a medal. The next two chessers will pocket P800 and P500 with medals.

In kiddies, the first three winners will claim P2,000, P1,000 and P800 while the next two placers will get P500 and P300, respectively. Sixth to 10th placers will get P100 each.
