Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met U.S. Vice President JD Vance on Saturday, April 11, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, as diplomatic activity intensified around efforts to address recent hostilities in the Middle East region.

The meeting came as Vice President Vance arrived in the country for discussions involving the Iranian delegation aimed at reducing tensions and advancing peace talks.

During the engagement, Sharif commended the willingness of both sides to participate in constructive dialogue and expressed hope that the process would become a foundation for durable peace in the region.
