Starglow releases ‘Green Light’ music video as rising group accelerates toward next chapter
Rising five-member dance and vocal group Starglow is pressing forward at full speed with the release of its latest digital single, “Green Light,” along with a cinematic music video unveiled on Sunday, March 2.
The track marks a major moment for the group, which was formed through BMSG’s audition program THE LAST PIECE. With its motivational message and energetic production, “Green Light” captures the spirit of pushing ahead with determination while highlighting the members’ growing chemistry and refined performance skills.
Originally introduced as an evaluation song during THE LAST PIECE, the track now arrives in its full STARGLOW form. The group injects new intensity into the song, transforming it into a powerful anthem about chasing ambition without hesitation.
The music video leans heavily into cinematic storytelling. It depicts the members fleeing an unseen threat before finding temporary refuge in a run-down motel, navigating tension and uncertainty while looking toward a brighter future.
Choreographed by Ryusei Harada, the performance scenes showcase the group’s striking stage presence. The choreography blends sensual movement with explosive power, emphasizing the members’ confidence and evolving artistry.
Starglow’s momentum has been building rapidly since debut. Their first single, “Star Wish,” released on January 21, topped the Oricon Weekly Singles Ranking dated February 2 and also led the Billboard Japan Top Singles Sales chart published January 28.
The group’s growing global recognition was further cemented when they were selected as the only Japanese act included in NME’s “100 Essential Emerging Artists for 2026,” placing them among the most promising new names in music.
Upcoming single and nationwide tour plans
Starglow’s second single, “USOTSUKI,” is scheduled for release on March 30. The record will include three tracks: the title song “USOTSUKI,” along with “Green Light” and another new track titled “Blast Off.”
Multiple physical editions of the single are planned, each packed with additional video content. Fans can expect music videos, behind-the-scenes footage, and the debut teaser series “STARGLOW IS COMING.”
A limited edition version available through the BMSG MUSIC SHOP will also include exclusive photo shoot behind-the-scenes footage. Altogether, the releases are expected to feature approximately 141 minutes of video material.
Major performances and fan meeting tour ahead
As their popularity continues to rise, Starglow will also embark on its first nationwide fan meeting tour titled STARGLOW 1st Fan Meeting -STAR CRUISE- starting in April.
The tour will visit 17 cities across Japan, marking a major milestone for the group as it connects directly with fans around the country.
Several major event appearances are already lined up in the coming months. The group is set to perform at The 42nd Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection 2026 Spring/Summer on March 14, followed by JAL Sapporo Music Experience 2026 on April 18 and the VIVA LA ROCK 2026 festival on May 3.
With the release of “Green Light,” Starglow signals that its next chapter is officially underway.
