Muque’s “Dark Game” marks a bold transformation for the Fukuoka band as they enter 2026 with a darker sonic identity and a new three-piece lineup. Following the departure of bassist Lenon in late 2025, this single represents a definitive statement of evolution.

Blending trap beats with orchestral tension, “Dark Game” immediately sets a cinematic tone. The track combines aggressive sound design with immersive vocals, highlighting takachi’s production prowess while Asakura’s voice delves deeper into psychological and emotional layers.

A darker sound for a new era

The music video for “Dark Game” is inspired by Hyakki Yagyō, the Night Parade of One Hundred Demons from Japanese folklore. Set in a city where humans and mythical beings coexist, the visuals present a haunting, theatrical world, directed by Ryo Suda, known for collaborations with Yojiro Noda, BAD HOP, and kZm.

Through this visual storytelling, “Dark Game” conveys themes of control, tension, and psychological nuance, reinforcing the track’s cinematic impact. The combination of folklore imagery and modern trap production positions Muque dark game as a daring step forward.
