NPDC hosts PARKonversations Live! 2025 session on green spaces for Metro Manila
The role of the private sector in transforming Metro Manila’s green spaces will take center stage on Saturday as the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC) hosts the third session of PARKonversations Live! 2025 in celebration of World Tourism Day.
The forum, titled “Green Spaces for a Concrete City: How Private Initiatives Are Shaping Metro Manila’s Parks,” will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Gallery in Rizal Park Luneta. It will also be streamed live on the NPDC’s official Facebook page.

Veteran architect to lead discussion
Filipino landscape architect Efren A. Aurelio, president of EA Aurelio Landscape Architects, will headline the session. A University of the Philippines graduate with more than 40 years of experience in the Philippines and overseas, Aurelio has been behind several major developments, including the redevelopment of Greenbelt 1, 2, and 3 in Makati and the Ayala Country Club in Laguna.
Through his projects, Aurelio has been known for pushing sustainable and people-oriented designs that have become landmarks in urban development, helping shape more livable and tourism-friendly environments.
Urban parks in focus
The NPDC said the session aims to highlight how privately driven projects can complement public efforts in creating spaces that support health, tourism, and climate resilience in the capital.
Admission is free, and attendees may pre-register online to secure a slot. Onsite participants who complete the evaluation form will receive a certificate of attendance.
