Afreximbank Executive Vice President and incoming President Dr. George Elombi highlighted the next phase as one of “conviction”—pushing forward with integrated payment systems and stronger trade finance links.

The ACTIF2025 communiqué:

  • Endorsed the Global Africa Commission for formal adoption at the AU-CARICOM Summit in Addis Ababa this September.

  • Committed to a Free Trade Arrangement, elimination of visa restrictions, and expanded air and maritime connectivity.

  • Pledged deeper cooperation in digital, sports, and the creative economy.

Afreximbank President Prof. Benedict Oramah, completing his term this year, was honoured with a flamboyant tree planting at Camerhogne Park in St. George’s, symbolising vitality, peace, and growth. His vision has been instrumental in shaping the Global Africa concept and advancing Africa-Caribbean relations.
