Jamie Dornan’s Next Movie Could Be ‘Robin Hood: Origins’
“Fifty Shades” actor Jamie Dornan could be coming aboard a medieval movie. The actor is being eyed to play Will Scarlet in “Robin Hood: Origins,” which will come from Lionsgate.
The movie already has Leonardo DiCaprio attached, which follows the legendary story of a hero who becomes an outlaw, but fights for the good of the masses. DiCaprio serves as producers, but will not star in the movie, per Variety.
It is Taron Egerton who will play Robin Hood and Eve Hewson will be Marian. Jamie Foxx is also in the cast as Little John. The character of Will Scarlet is actually Robin Hood’s brother, and he’s described as the best swordsman who has a hot head, per The Hollywood Reporter.
“Robin Hood: Origins” has been charted for filming in January on location in Budapest. Dark Horizon reports that Maid Marian will be married to Will Scarlet in this version of “Robin Hood.” The legend has been turned into plenty of adaptations in the past, including the 2010 blockbuster that starred Russell Crowe as Robin Hood.
Jamie Dornan has recently wrapped up filming the two installments for “Fifty Shades” with Dakota Johnson. He’s TV show on BBC, “The Fall,” is also set to premiere at the end of September. It will be the third and final season.
