Space Invaders, Arkanoid and More Return in TAITO’s New Retro Gaming Collection
Space Invaders is invading the Nintendo Switch again, and it’s bringing nine more arcade classics along. Clear River Games and Taito Corporation announced Taito Milestones 5, a 10-game collection expected to launch Jan. 28, 2027.
Pre-orders open Nov. 26, 2026, for digital and physical Game Card editions. The fifth entry in the Taito Milestones series also includes Arkanoid: Revenge of DOH, Sagaia (Darius II), Crime City and Marine Date, a quirky 1981 octopus puzzler.

Full Taito Milestones 5 Lineup
The lineup runs from Space Invaders in 1978 to Football Champ, also known as Hat Trick Hero, in 1990. Other picks include Land Sea and Air Squad (Storming Party in the EU), Plump Pop, Final Blow and Extermination.
Genres range from run-and-gun action to boxing, soccer and trampoline chaos. Plump Pop, a 1987 title, has players carrying a trampoline to bounce a child into enemies, while Final Blow (1988) is a boxing game built on punches, blocks and timing.
Marine Date casts players as an octopus navigating an underwater maze with a limited number of water jets. Sagaia, a 1989 shooter, is remembered for Yamato, a giant hermit crab boss that uses a battleship as its shell.
