Drakong Unveils Modular Guitar Controller With Hot-Swappable Keys for Serious Rhythm Gamers
Serious rhythm gamers who tweak every millisecond of their setup can rebuild their guitar controller key by key. California-based Drakong is putting that control in players’ hands with the InfinaKore “Telecaster Edition” Multi-Platform Edition.
Drakong describes the modular controller as the world’s first fret-tapping guitar, with a control system that adds tapping on top of traditional key-pressing. The company says that gives players a fresh way to enjoy rhythm gaming.
InfinaKore Guitar Controller Packs Hot-Swappable Kailh Choc Switches
The clicky, low-profile Kailh Choc switches are used to build the controller’s fast fret buttons. Drakong says their shorter travel distance helps keys register faster with minimal finger movement, so players can move through hardcore solos with ease.
Rapid tapping will not make the keys stick, the company says, and the lighter actuation force reduces strain during long, high-speed sessions. The switches are also hot-swappable, so players can pop them in and out at their leisure.
Pre-orders also include a guitar pick strum bar designed to mimic the snap and bounce of a real pick striking a string. A switch puller is part of the bundle to make hot swaps easier.
