NBA: Curry, Wade discuss Heat vs Warriors dream superteam clash
During an Instagram live session, Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade discussed with Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry the possibility of having the early 2010s Heat going up against the Warriors dynasty of the last decade.
Both aforementioned teams dominated the decade, winning 5 of a possible 10 championships combined.
Wade’s Heat, handled by Erik Spoelstra, had LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Ray Allen, winning back to back titles in 2012 and 2013.
Curry’s Warriors superteam, on the other hand, made 5 straight finals trips and won 3 with the help of Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala, and head coach Steve Kerr.
When Wade asked about the dream scenario, Curry said it would be “incredible” had it happened in an alternate universe.
The 2006 NBA Finals MVP himself discussed how envy he was of not having the chance to play the Warriors in his prime.
Both agreed that it would only be possible on NBA 2K for now, laughing while their wives were both tuned in too.
They did it for fans to have a discussion amongst themselves. For sure, this isn’t the first time the basketball world has talked about the topic.
