NBA Rumors: Andre Iguodala ready to sit out if Grizzlies don’t trade him
NBA veteran Andre Iguodala is prepared to sit out the rest of the season if his team, the Memphis Grizzlies, do not trade him to the team of his choice.
The Athletic’s David Aldridge tweeted out the development.
Iguodala and Memphis mutually agreed he would not report to the Grizzlies while the team tried to find a trade partner. The 36-year-old has yet to play after being traded by Golden State to the Grizzlies last summer.

It is no secret that Iguodala, the 2016 NBA Finals MVP, wants to be on a contending team like the Los Angeles Lakers, but unfortunately, the Grizzlies have not yet meet his demands.
Now, Iguodala will put even more pressure on the franchise as he wants his team to agree to his terms before the trade deadline on Thursday.
Other Grizzlies like Dillon Brooks and Ja Morant, however, do not take the Iguodala news happily, with the latter stating he wants to play against Iguodala soon to “show him what (the Grizzlies) are about.”

The Grizzlies are currently in the 8th spot in the Western Conference with a 25-25 record, and are looking like the strongest team in their tier to advance to the playoffs.
The Portland Trail Blazers and San Antonio Spurs are both below .500 at the moment.
Iguodala made the 2012 all star game and is also an Olympic gold medalist.
