Japanese boy group One Or Eight has landed one of the biggest co-signs in anime music this year. The eight-member act has been confirmed as the voice behind “Yellow Brick Road,” the new ending theme for Black Clover’s long-awaited second season.

The song drops digitally on October 7, just days after the anime’s premiere on October 3 via TV Tokyo and its affiliated networks. It marks one of the group’s biggest global placements since their 2024 debut.

One Or Eight will visit Singapore, Manila and Bangkok in October as part of its 2026 Asia showcase tour.

One Or Eight’s Black Clover Tie-In Builds on a Breakout Year

Black Clover follows Asta, a boy born without magic in a world built entirely on it, who refuses to give up on becoming Wizard King. One Or Eight wrote “Yellow Brick Road” as a mirror of that arc, framing it as their own bet on a dream that started in Japan.

Member Mizuki, who has read the manga since its early serialization, called the connection personal. He said the song reflects the parallels between Asta’s group and 1DERZ, One Or Eight’s fanbase, as both push past their limits together.

The placement lands on the back of a fast-rising 2024-2025 run for the group. Their track “Tokyo Drift” pulled in more than 200,000 pieces of user-generated content and 300 million TikTok views, while also hitting the US Mediabase Top 40 — a record for chart entries by a Japanese boy group.

That momentum brought hardware, too. One Or Eight took home Upcoming Dance & Vocal Group at MTV VMAJ 2025 and New Artist of the Year at China’s 2025 NetEase Music Awards, cementing their status as one of J-pop’s fastest-climbing acts.

Manila Showcase Puts One Or Eight’s Momentum on Full Display

“Yellow Brick Road” isn’t just a streaming release — it’s arriving alongside a live run built to capitalize on the group’s growing reach. “One Or Eight Special Show Case 2026 in Asia -V8-” hits Singapore, Manila and Bangkok this October.

The Manila leg is set for October 23 at Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premier, sandwiched between the Singapore stop on October 21 and Bangkok on October 25. It gives Filipino fans a direct look at the group riding its anime tie-in high.

Beyond the Asia run, One Or Eight is also mounting “Shūkai 2026-2027 in Japan -2Gather-,” a fan-meeting tour built to visit all 47 Japanese prefectures. Together, the two tours reflect the same idea driving the group’s rise: show up everywhere, for everyone.

With a manga that’s sold 24.5 million copies and a series that has topped charts in dozens of countries now behind it, One Or Eight’s timing could hardly be better. The Black Clover placement and the Manila date both point to a group still early in a run few acts get this fast.
