Da-iCE Star Debuts First-Ever Duet With Airi Suzuki
Sota Hanamura is stepping into new territory. The Da-iCE vocalist has released his first-ever collaboration as a solo artist, teaming up with singer Airi Suzuki on the new track “Dejavu.”
The single marks his first digital release since his pre-debut album “ASCEEENSION.” It also introduces a new creative chapter built around chemistry and vocal tension.

A Musical Face-Off Between Two Rivals
“Dejavu” skips the typical love song formula. Instead, it plays out like a vocal duel between two equals.
The track explores the push and pull of admiration and rivalry existing at once. That dynamic mirrors Hanamura and Suzuki’s real friendship, which grew through shared radio appearances over the years.
Producer A.G.O helped shape the song’s sound. Known for work with Ayumu Imazu, Furui Riho, and SIRUP, A.G.O blended live instrumentation with modern production for a groove that feels sleek yet organic.
A Milestone Moment at Nippon Budokan
The release arrived just after another major moment for Hanamura. On August 17, he held his first solo concert at Tokyo’s Nippon Budokan, billed as a Special Edition show.
Suzuki made a surprise guest appearance during the performance. The two debuted “Dejavu” live before its official release the following day.
The Budokan show came months after Hanamura released “ASCEEENSION” and launched his first solo tour. It underscored his growing momentum as an artist beyond his role as Da-iCE’s main vocalist.
With “Dejavu,” Hanamura finds more than a collaborator in Suzuki. Their voices trade lines without either one overpowering the other, turning creative tension into the song’s biggest strength.
