GAC AION UT Arrives in Philippines as Affordable EV With Over 400km Driving Range
The Philippine electric vehicle market continues to grow as more motorists look for practical, efficient, and technology-packed alternatives to conventional vehicles. Strengthening its commitment to sustainable mobility, GAC Philippines has introduced the all-new GAC AION UT, a compact electric hatchback designed to combine premium styling, advanced technology, and everyday usability.
Already enjoying success in markets including Thailand, Europe, and Latin America, the AION UT arrives in the Philippines with features aimed at urban drivers seeking comfort, safety, and convenience without sacrificing driving performance.

Designed for Everyday Life
Despite its compact exterior dimensions, the GAC AION UT offers one of the most spacious cabins in its class. Built on a dedicated electric vehicle platform, it features a 2,750mm wheelbase that provides generous rear legroom, giving passengers a comfortable ride even on longer journeys.
Its practical layout extends to cargo space, offering a 440-liter luggage compartment that expands further with the rear seats folded. The hatchback also features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, allowing owners to power compatible electronic devices during outdoor activities, camping trips, or emergencies.
The cabin is equally modern, featuring an 8.88-inch LCD instrument cluster paired with a 14.6-inch central touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility allow drivers to stay connected while keeping the dashboard uncluttered.
Safety and Performance Combined
The GAC AION UT comes equipped with an extensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems designed to improve driver confidence and everyday safety. These include Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and a 360-degree Surround View Camera System.
Additional protection comes from its high-strength body structure, large side curtain airbags, and intelligent Drive-off Assist technology, reinforcing the hatchback’s focus on occupant safety.
Powering the Elite variant is a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor producing 136 PS and 145 Nm of torque, paired with a 47.1 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery using GAC’s Magazine Battery 2.0 technology. The vehicle offers a driving range of more than 400 kilometers on a full charge, while DC fast charging can replenish the battery from 30 percent to 80 percent in approximately 30 minutes.
GAC Philippines is offering the AION UT Elite with a suggested retail price of PHP 1,068,000. An introductory price of PHP 998,000 is available until June 30, 2026, along with an additional PHP 20,000 discount for the first 400 units sold.
Customers can choose from Champs-Elysees Beige, Emerald Green, Rococo White, Seine Silver, or a two-tone Rococo White and Emerald Green finish. The company also supports buyers through its nationwide dealership network, extended EV warranties, dedicated parts availability, and two years of complimentary roadside assistance.
With its spacious cabin, modern technology, advanced safety systems, competitive driving range, and attractive introductory pricing, the GAC AION UT positions itself as a compelling option for Filipinos looking to transition to electric mobility while maintaining the practicality needed for daily driving.
