Mendo Raises €12 Million To Expand Enterprise AI Adoption

French startup Mendo has secured €12 million in Series A funding to accelerate the expansion of its enterprise AI adoption platform across Europe, the company announced.

The latest investment follows a €3.5 million seed round completed in October 2024 and was led by Ventech and Educapital, with participation from Tomcat and OVNI. The Paris-based company plans to use the new capital to strengthen its technology, expand its workforce and increase its presence in major European markets.

Founded in 2021, Mendo focuses on helping organizations integrate generative and agentic artificial intelligence into everyday business operations. The company positions itself as the bridge between AI tools and employee adoption, addressing one of the biggest challenges facing enterprises implementing AI technologies.

According to Mendo, many AI initiatives fail not because of technological limitations but because employees struggle to adopt and integrate the tools into their daily workflows. The company’s platform is designed to address that gap by embedding directly into widely used AI services and guiding users toward practical applications.

Focus on AI Adoption

Mendo’s platform integrates with AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini and Mistral AI, helping organizations identify high-value use cases while supporting employees throughout the adoption process.

The company believes businesses are entering a new phase with the rise of agentic AI. Rather than simply automating individual tasks, organizations are increasingly looking to deploy AI-powered agents capable of supporting entire business processes.

Mendo co-founder and chief executive officer Quentin Amaudry said the evolution of AI is transforming it from a productivity tool into a core operational layer for businesses.

“With agentics, AI changes status: it is no longer a tool that saves you a few hours a week, it becomes the layer that orchestrates and governs all of a company’s operations,” Amaudry said.

“No company will pull off this transition without bringing its people along and changing the way it is organised. They are the ones who work with it day to day, who spot the right use cases, who keep the agents running on the ground,” he added.

The company currently serves more than 100 organizations, including PwC, Novo Nordisk and Crédit Agricole. Since its launch, Mendo says it has supported nearly 100,000 employees across Europe.

Expansion Plans Accelerate

With the new funding, Mendo intends to strengthen its analytics capabilities to help organizations better understand how AI is being used and identify opportunities where AI agents can deliver measurable returns on investment.

The company said it will also focus on tracking agent adoption and measuring the business impact of deployments. Early results indicate adoption rates up to six times higher than traditional implementation methods.

Another major priority is workforce expansion. Mendo plans to double its headcount from 50 to 100 employees, with hiring concentrated in product development, technology and sales functions.

The startup also aims to accelerate commercial expansion throughout key European markets as demand for enterprise AI adoption solutions continues to grow.

Investors believe Mendo occupies a strategic position in a rapidly evolving sector where successful AI implementation increasingly depends on employee engagement and organizational readiness.

Ventech General Partner Audrey Soussan said the company addresses a critical challenge facing enterprises.

“The real problem with AI in the enterprise isn’t budget. It’s adoption. Tools left idle, teams using them only at the margins, and management that doesn’t know where to start in fully embedding AI into their processes,” Soussan said.

Educapital General Partner Litzie Maarek echoed that view, highlighting the growing importance of workforce training as agentic AI becomes more prevalent in business operations.

As organizations across Europe continue investing heavily in artificial intelligence, Mendo is positioning itself to become a key player in helping enterprises move from experimentation to large-scale adoption.
