Hong Kong transforms Central into Winter Wonderland for WinterFest 2025

Hong Kong is set to become Asia’s holiday capital again as Central transforms into a winter wonderland for WinterFest 2025. The city will launch festive experiences from Nov. 14, 2025 to Jan. 4, 2026, headlined by immersive light shows, holiday markets, and a towering Christmas tree.

Statue Square Garden will serve as the heart of Christmas Town, complete with toy-themed décor, live carols, and appearances by Santa. The 20-meter Christmas tree will glow nightly, acting as the centerpiece of the celebrations and welcoming families and visitors throughout the season.

Immersive light spectacles and landmark holiday features

A brand-new “Immersive Light Show in Central” will run from Nov. 28, lighting up eight iconic buildings, including the Bank of China Tower and HSBC Main Building. Using 3D projections, the skyline will display festive characters and scenes synchronized with music for a nightly holiday spectacle.

Chater Road will be transformed into Starlight Boulevard, featuring more than 30 illuminated trees and glowing walkways. Visitors will also experience the return of “Noëlia at LANDMARK,” featuring an 11-meter lighthouse and Hong Kong’s largest interactive 12×12-meter Wishing Lake for photo-ready holiday moments.

Holiday markets, entertainment, and citywide offers

A Christmas market with 12 festive chalets will open on Nov. 28, offering seasonal food, holiday crafts, and workshops. Shoppers can explore gifts and themed activities while enjoying performances across Central.

In December, the Hong Kong Tourism Board will launch a WinterFest Delights campaign, with more than 300 exclusive dining, shopping, attraction, and transport deals. The celebration will culminate with the New Year’s Eve fireworks display, closing the season with a spectacular countdown event.
