Cyclothon Carnival brings a full wellness experience
The Hong Kong Cyclothon remains the city’s largest cycling showcase, with elite competitors and casual cyclists sharing one of the world’s most cinematic urban courses. While the racing electrifies the city, the West Kowloon Cultural District hosts the Cyclothon Carnival — a gathering point for enthusiasts and families alike.
Visitors can join professional-led workshops covering classic workouts, rising sports like padel, stretching, Zumba, and more. The Carnival highlights unique activities such as penny-farthing riding, paired with live busking and a marketplace offering sports gear and refreshments, including gelato, coffee, snacks, and beer. The event blends fitness, entertainment, and local flavors, making it a vibrant stop for riders and spectators.
New waterfront sports hubs and coastal escapes enhance the experience
Travelers can continue their fitness journey at GO PARK Sai Sha, Hong Kong’s newest 1.3-million-square-foot waterfront sports and lifestyle destination. The space features outdoor pickleball courts, cycling and running tracks, padel courts, a Trackman-equipped driving range, tennis courts, a football pitch, and lacrosse fields, offering a wide range of options for active visitors.
Water-based adventures await at GO PARK Aqua, where kayaking, paddleboarding, wingfoiling, and snorkelling unfold along Sai Sha’s scenic shoreline. Visitors can also board a boat to Sham Chung, a peaceful Hakka village surrounded by lush nature, geological sites, and vibrant marine life, capped with local seafood dining experiences.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong’s reimagined waterfront continues to expand, with the East Coast Boardwalk in North Point and the Kai Tak GreenWay introducing new routes for jogging, cycling, and sunset watching. Families enjoy play zones, fitness stations, fishing platforms, and panoramic seating along Victoria Harbour, creating an inviting environment for wellness-focused exploration.
From urban energy to quiet coastal beauty, Hong Kong offers a balanced retreat that blends thrill, recovery, and discovery — making this year’s Cyclothon the perfect time to reconnect with both movement and calm.
