XG to release pre-album single ‘GALA’ ahead of first full album in 2026

XG electrified fans during their debut appearance at a-nation 2025, one of Japan’s largest summer music festivals, before announcing a major milestone — their first full album will drop on 23 January 2026. Ahead of that release, the group will unveil a pre-album digital single titled “GALA” on 19 September.
A cinematic glimpse into X-POP
“GALA” is described as a futuristic runway anthem that blends synth-driven beats, sharp rap verses, bilingual delivery, and house music elements into a performance-driven showcase. Branded as “X GALA,” the track represents a bold expansion of XG’s self-defined genre, X-POP, where music, power, and glamour intersect. The cover art mirrors the song’s dazzling concept, amplifying anticipation for its release.
The upcoming full-length record is set to establish XG’s identity on an even larger scale. Designed to cut through fleeting trends, the album explores themes of music, existence, and authenticity, while highlighting the group’s unshakable style. It is positioned as the official birth of X-POP, a genre crafted by XG to embody limitless creativity and boundary-pushing soundscapes.
Expanding global presence
Fans will get an intimate glimpse of the group’s journey through the XG 1st WORLD TOUR “The first HOWL” EXHIBITION at Laforet Museum Harajuku in Tokyo from 1 to 7 September, featuring stage outfits, live photos, and exclusive content.
From there, XG will bring their energy overseas in October through the CHINA FESTIVAL TOUR, performing at MDSK Music Festival in Beijing (2 Oct), Strawberry Music Festival in Guangzhou (4 Oct), and Luzhou Galaxy Left Bank Music Festival in Luzhou (7 Oct).
With “GALA” as the first preview and a groundbreaking album on the horizon, XG continues to expand their X-POP universe, proving their music is not only heard but fully lived and experienced.
