Cavite Tourism Passport returns with new point system, more rewards for local travelers
Whether you’re planning a road trip, hunting down the best food finds, or seeking a quiet spot to recharge, Cavite offers a mix of everything — and this time, your adventure comes with prizes. The Cavite Tourism Passport is making a comeback, and with it comes a whole new way to explore the province: earn points while discovering its best-kept secrets.
Led by the Provincial Government of Cavite through its Provincial Tourism Officer and MPT South — operator of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) and Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) — the renewed tourism campaign encourages locals and travelers alike to rediscover Cavite’s vibrant charm. These two expressways serve as key entry points from Metro Manila and Laguna, making it easier than ever to start your Cavite journey.

Gamified travel experience through a new points system
In partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT) CALABARZON and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), this year’s passport introduces a points-based format. Instead of collecting traditional stamps, participants earn points by visiting over 100 DOT-accredited locations, which fall under four categories: Staycation, Adventure, Food, and Heritage.
To be eligible for rewards, travelers must complete at least one destination in each category and accumulate a total of 700 points between August 1, 2025, and August 31, 2026. Attending local festivals also adds bonus points, further incentivizing participation in Cavite’s cultural traditions.
From historic town centers and cozy B&Bs to must-try eateries and outdoor escapes, the program rewards well-rounded travel while showcasing the province’s diverse offerings.
Community-driven travel that tells a deeper story
According to Cavite Provincial Tourism Officer Rozelle Sangalang, the revamped passport aims to give deeper meaning to travel within the province. “We want to make travel around Cavite not only fun, but also meaningful. Through this passport, we’re encouraging both locals and visitors to dive deeper into what our province has to offer—from heritage and food to natural wonders and community celebrations.”
MPT South Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management Arlette V. Capistrano added that the initiative reflects a greater goal beyond infrastructure. “This initiative reflects our commitment to building more than roads—we’re helping connect people to stories, culture, and communities.”

Tourism Passports are now available through CALAX customer service hubs, local tourism offices, and participating establishments across Cavite. Full details, mechanics, and the complete list of accredited destinations are available at https://tourism.cavite.gov.ph/cavite-tourism-passport.
