BE:FIRST returns with a stirring new single titled “Under the Same Sky 空”, a heartfelt ballad reminding listeners that no matter how stormy the day, the sky will clear. The track follows the high-energy release of “GRIT” and marks a more emotional turn for the seven-member dance and vocal group, fresh off their World Tour 2025: Who is BE:FIRST?

Released in conjunction with NHK’s “Minna no Uta” broadcast and commissioned as the official song for the 92nd NHK National School Music Competition (Junior High Division), “Under the Same Sky 空” is reaching classrooms and hearts throughout Japan. Known as “N-Con”, the annual choral contest brings together students nationwide to share in the power of collective expression through music — an ethos that mirrors BE:FIRST’s own origins and message.

Written and co-produced by BE:FIRST founder and BMSG CEO SKY-HI with UTA (TinyVoice, Production) and LOAR (INIMI), the track builds on gospel roots and complex choral harmonies arranged by one of Japan’s top a cappella groups. Each member of BE:FIRST brings emotional intensity and vocal maturity, creating a rich, comforting soundscape that uplifts and connects.

A nationwide musical embrace from BE:FIRST to Japan’s youth

As of June 20, “Under the Same Sky 空” is being broadcast in over 600 high schools across Japan during lunch and after-school hours, accompanied by a special message from the group. This initiative amplifies the song’s message of solidarity and calm, turning it into more than just a single — it’s a moment of collective stillness and support for a generation navigating uncertainty.

“Under the Same Sky 空” captures the spirit of youth resilience, encouraging young people to pause, breathe, and find courage in togetherness. With its soaring vocals and soul-nourishing gospel tone, BE:FIRST continues to evolve their artistry while staying rooted in purpose-driven storytelling — a hallmark of their growing influence in Japan’s music scene.
