Supporting the UAE’s Vision for Green Investment

The partnership has received substantial backing from the UAE Ministry of Investment, which played a pivotal role in facilitating this greenfield investment. The Ministry’s support is in line with the country’s broader strategy to attract forward-thinking investments and enhance its position as a hub for advanced manufacturing and sustainable technologies, two key sectors under the National Investment Strategy of the UAE.

H.E. Mohammad Abdulrahman Alhawi, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Investment, expressed strong support for the initiative, saying, “This agreement showcases our ongoing dedication to being a strategic partner for international investors and local family offices. It directly aligns with our mission to strengthen the UAE’s position in attracting investments that match our national priorities.”

Building a Robust EV Charging Ecosystem

The joint venture aims to build DC and AC charging equipment production lines, including high-power DC charging stations with vehicle-to-grid (V2G) functionality. These products will serve the local UAE market and extend to the broader Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region and the Middle East. The factory construction is expected to be completed within the year, with the first batch of ‘Made in UAE’ products set to launch by late 2025.

“We’re truly honored to establish this strategic alliance,” said Mike Calise, CEO of Tellus Power. “Given the UAE’s impressive growth in clean tech and smart mobility, this joint venture positions us to meet the growing demand across the GCC.”

A Step Toward a Sustainable Future

As part of the collaboration, the partners plan to build an innovative, future-oriented EV ecosystem that will help drive the UAE’s vision for a green economy. The joint venture will focus on technological innovation and localized operations, addressing the region’s urgent need for scalable and reliable EV charging infrastructure.

“We believe that ‘Made in UAE’ isn’t just a label; it’s a direction,” said Mohammad BinHendi, Group CEO of BinHendi Holding. “We’re committed to making the UAE a regional manufacturing hub for next-generation EV infrastructure. Our vision goes beyond mobility to driving industrial manufacturing across high-impact sectors.”

Key Players and Future Outlook

Hamdan Zakaria Doleh, Chairman of the China Innovation Centre in UAE, also expressed optimism about the partnership’s impact. “The Middle East is at a critical juncture in the green mobility transition. This collaboration will enable Tellus Power Group to establish a stronger foothold and support the rapid growth of the EV ecosystem through innovation and localized operations.”

The collaboration also aligns with UAE’s broader commitment to sustainable growth and creating future-enabling investments that foster economic prosperity and innovation.

Looking Ahead

The joint venture between Tellus Power, BinHendi Holding, and SFE Group is a significant milestone in the development of the Middle East’s EV infrastructure. With the UAE government’s backing, the partnership is poised to contribute to the region’s sustainability goals while establishing the UAE as a regional leader in advanced manufacturing and e-mobility.
