Reaffirming its commitment to community development, Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South) took part in the Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela 2025 initiative, themed “Sama-sama Para sa Bayang Bumabasa”. From June 9 to 11, MPT South distributed 900 school supply kits to public school students across various cities and municipalities in Cavite and Parañaque, supporting preparations for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The donation drive reached learners in Imus, Silang, General Trias, Kawit, Bacoor, and Parañaque, benefiting schools including Alapan II-B Barangay Hall, Hipolito Saquilayan High School, Salinas Elementary School, and many more. Each student received a basic school kit containing notebooks, ballpens, crayons, and pad paper—essential tools meant to spark motivation and readiness for the new school year.

CAVITEX recognized in Bacoor’s Brigada Eskwela launch

A key moment came during the turnover at Salinas Elementary School, which aligned with Bacoor City’s official opening of Brigada Eskwela 2025. The event was graced by Cavite 2nd District Representative Lani Mercado Revilla, who acknowledged MPT South’s active role:

“Taos-puso akong nagpapasalamat sa CAVITEX para sa kanilang aktibong pakikilahok sa Brigada Eskwela dito sa Bacoor. Malaking tulong ang inyong suporta at volunteer work sa paghahanda ng ating mga paaralan para sa ligtas at maayos na pagbabalik ng ating mga mag-aaral.”

Supporting the next generation

Arlette V. Capistrano, MPT South Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management, emphasized the company’s broader nation-building mission:

“We believe that our role in nation-building goes beyond the roads and expressways we build. It also means supporting the communities we operate in—especially the students who represent the future of those communities.”

This initiative forms part of MPT South’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, which goes beyond infrastructure to support key areas such as education, environmental sustainability, safety, and livelihood.
