Latino excellence takes center stage as NHMC names Impact Awards presenters

The National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) has unveiled its full lineup of star-studded presenters for the 2025 Impact Awards Gala, which will take place on Friday, June 6, at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. This annual celebration honors Latino excellence in entertainment and media, recognizing those whose work has helped shape a more inclusive and representative industry.

Co-hosting the gala are writer, actor, and comedian Al Madrigal and actress, writer, and producer Jessica Marie Garcia. They will guide an evening that brings together some of the most influential and emerging voices in Hollywood.

Among the evening’s presenters are Congressman Joaquin Castro, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, David Castañeda, Francia Raísa, Gloria Calderón Kellett, Henry R. Muñoz III, and Isabella Gomez. Notably, Isabela Merced, recipient of the Next Generation Impact Award, will be honored by her The Last of Us co-stars Gabriel Luna and Young Mazino.

Celebrating leadership, vision, and authentic storytelling

The full list of 2025 honorees represents a cross-section of outstanding talent and cultural influence:

  • Acapulco – Authentic Storytelling Impact Award

  • Cobra Kai – Ensemble Impact Award

  • Cris Abrego – Leadership Impact Award

  • Daniella Pineda – Outstanding Performance Impact Award

  • Isabela Merced – Next Generation Impact Award

  • Phil Lord – Visionary Impact Award

  • Rey Mysterio – Legend Impact Award

In a statement, NHMC President and CEO Brenda Victoria Castillo emphasized the powerful connections and diversity among this year’s presenters. “They all come from different backgrounds and journeys within the Hollywood industry. These relationships are a testament to connections we need to make in entertainment,” she said. Castillo also reinforced NHMC’s commitment to opportunity and visibility for Latino creatives, especially amid current challenges to DEI efforts.

A night of recognition and purpose

The Impact Awards Gala is part of NHMC’s broader mission to foster accurate, fair, and inclusive media representation. Each year, the event shines a spotlight on individuals and organizations that are actively shifting narratives and opening doors in the entertainment world.

NHMC is supported by a wide network of partners, including Apple TV+, T-Mobile, Netflix, Comcast NBCUniversal, Telemundo, Variety, The Walt Disney Company, and Warner Bros. Pictures, among others.

Committee members for the 2025 gala include industry leaders and advocates such as Chanelle Hardy, Craig Robinson, Iva Colter, Jaime Davila, and Congressman Joaquin Castro.

With past honorees like America Ferrera, Salma Hayek Pinault, Rosario Dawson, and Diego Luna, the NHMC Impact Awards Gala continues to elevate voices that shape culture through media.
