LUNA SEA concludes 35th Anniversary Tour with epic Tokyo Dome finale, announces LUNATIC FEST. 2025

LUNA SEA delivered a historic conclusion to their 35th-anniversary tour with two monumental nights at Tokyo Dome on February 22 and 23, 2025.

The first night, The Millennium Eve 2025, featured a special reunion with GLAY, marking their first joint performance in 25 years. The following night, LUNA SEA took the stage for their first solo Tokyo Dome concert in 15 years, captivating the audience with a performance that celebrated their decades-long legacy.

As the final moments of the concert played out, the audience erupted in cheers when LUNA SEA announced the long-awaited return of LUNATIC FEST. 2025, set for November 8 and 9 at Makuhari Messe.

The Millennium Eve 2025: A J-Rock Milestone

The February 22 show was a landmark event for Japanese rock fans. GLAY opened the night with some of their most well-loved songs, including Kuchibiru, Pure Soul, HOWEVER, and Yuuwaku. LUNA SEA then followed with a dynamic set featuring STORM, IN SILENCE, I for You, and ROSIER.

The encore was a highlight of the night, with members of both bands joining forces for special performances. TERU from GLAY took on vocals for LUNA SEA’s TRUE BLUE, while RYUICHI from LUNA SEA performed GLAY’s BELOVED. The grand finale featured all members of both bands performing WISH together, creating an unforgettable moment for fans.

LUNA SEA’s vocalist RYUICHI reflected on the night, saying, “A lot of things have happened for both of us since that time when so many bands were created, but I’m thankful we can stand on stage together at Tokyo Dome again. GLAY and LUNA SEA will continue to lead the scene.”

On February 23, LUNA SEA returned for a solo concert at Tokyo Dome, their first since 2010. The setlist showcased their career-spanning catalog, bringing fans on a journey through the band’s evolution.

At the end of the show, as the band members left the stage, a video began playing, leading to the announcement that LUNATIC FEST. 2025 would take place at Makuhari Messe on November 8 and 9. This will be the first edition of the festival in seven years, following its last staging in 2018.

With LUNA SEA at the helm, LUNATIC FEST. 2025 is expected to bring together some of the biggest names in rock music. More details on the lineup and ticket sales will be revealed soon.
