XY drops surprise new song ‘Crazy Love (XIV Version)’, announces first album

Japanese boyband XY, produced by legendary musician YOSHIKI, has thrilled fans with a surprise release of ‘Crazy Love (XIV Version)’ on January 27. The announcement came just a day earlier during the final Tokyo stop of their 1st ONE-MAN TOUR 2025 KALEIDOSCOPE, which took the group across Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka.

A Fresh Take on a Beloved Debut Song

Originally released as the group’s debut track, ‘Crazy Love’ left a lasting impression on J-pop fans. Now, with the addition of former NEWS member Yuya Tegoshi, the song has been reimagined into a 14-member version that adds depth and emotion.

Tegoshi’s signature rich vocals intertwine with JAY’s delicate yet powerful delivery, bringing new energy and a grand, dynamic sound to the song. While maintaining the passionate melody of the original, this updated version reflects the evolving chemistry between the group and their rockstar-producer, YOSHIKI.

Debut Album Coming in June

Adding to the excitement, XY also announced their first full-length album, set for release in June to mark their second anniversary. While details remain under wraps, anticipation is high for what is expected to be a defining moment for the group.

With ‘Crazy Love (XIV Version)’, XY continues to push boundaries and redefine their artistic direction. Fans can look forward to their upcoming album as the group gears up for a major milestone in their career.
