8 soldiers killed in attack in Burkina Faso

OUAGADOUGOU – Eight soldiers were killed on Monday (Oct. 4) morning in an armed attack on the Yirgou military detachment in the central north Sanmatenga province in Burkina Faso, reported the state television.
According to the same source, the attack took place at around 5 a.m. local time on Monday and targeted the Yirgou military detachment. Two other soldiers were wounded in the attack.
The search operations are underway to find the attackers. (Xinhua)
