NBA highlights: Paul George drops 33 as Clippers spoil Lakers’ ring night
Paul George scored 33 points as the Los Angeles Clippers walked away with a 116-109 season opener win over the defending champions Los Angeles Lakers Tuesday night.
George shot a remarkable 13/18 from the field which included 5 triples. His fellow superstar Kawhi Leonard added 26 points.
The win was a duplicate of last year’s season opener wherein the Clippers also beat the Lakers, 110-102.
LeBron James had 22 points to lead the Lakers while new point guard Dennis Schroder had 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Before the game, the Lakers received their 2020 NBA championship rings.
