NBA: Ricky Rubio returns to Minnesota as OKC Thunder trades guard again
Ricky Rubio will be coming back to the Minnesota Timberwolves as the Oklahoma City Thunder dealt the Spanish point guard in another trade.
The Thunder packaged Rubio plus their no. 25 and no. 28 picks in the 2020 NBA Draft to move up in the board. OKC then selected Aleksej Pokusevski as their 17th overall pick.
Just days ago, Rubio was traded by the Phoenix Suns to the Thunder as part of the blockbuster Chris Paul deal.
Rubio averaged 13 PPG, 4.7 RPG, and 8.8 APG in 65 games for the Suns as he revitalized his career during the 2020 season.
The veteran playmaker will now headed back to the team that drafted him 5th overall back in the 2009 season.
