URCC: Matos Accepts Damsa Challenge In Celebrity Cage Fight This December

Manila, Philippines – The Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) will be holding another event this December with the full card yet to be revealed. But one confirmed clash is a celebrity duel featuring actor Kiko Matos and FlipTop rapper Damsa.

Originally, it was supposed to be Damsa facing fellow rapper Badang. However, the latter begged off, paving the way for Matos to come in. It was Damsa who issued a challenge to the Indie actor.

However, Damsa was given fair warning. He said the rapper should be careful about what he wished for and issued bold statements.

“Kung gusto niya ako labanan… Game! Pero hindi ito fliptop battle. This is MMA,” said Matos.

Matos is no stranger to the URCC cage. He has already had battles in the cage, facing the likes of Baron Geisler (2016) and also Billy Jack Sanchez (2017).

The actor-turned-fighter is well aware that Damsa was said to be a fighter himself and has experience in martial arts.

“Kahit nanay ko marunong nga makipag-away, eh” Matos said. “Ang alam ko, boksingero siya. Nag-background check na ako,” he added. “Boxing pero MMA pinasok niya. Hindi lang ito throw of hands. May kicks dito at may grappling dito.”

Matos is already preparing for the celebrity clash and already has a game plan set. But it appears he plans to resort to the grappling game to gain any leverage from Damsa.

“Si Damsa, boksingero. Ako, grappler. I do things on the ground.

For Matos, the unusual invite could have not come at a better time. Like most, he has been having a rough go due to the COVID-19 pandemic and this is an opportunity he will not pass up.
