Football: Ceres-Negros renamed to United City FC after ownership change
Ceres-Negros FC, the no. 1-ranked club in the ASEAN region and the defending 3-time Philippines Football League champion, will rename to United City Football Club.
This is after a change in ownership following the purchase of investors managed by MMC Sportz Asia.
Ceres Negros will now be known as United City Football Club. The club also announced it has retained 16 of 21 players registered to Ceres Negros and intend to keep coach Risto Vidakovic. pic.twitter.com/wSA6zkpsiK

Last July 8, the squad released a statement which already mentioned investors were interested in buying the team.
The new ownership group intends to retain 16 of the 21 players on the line-up, as well as current head coach Risto Vidakovic.
