Football: Andre Schurrle surprisingly retires at 29
In quite a shocking announcement, football star Andre Schurrle has retired from the sport at 29 years old.
The former Chelsea and Fulham player cancelled his contract with Borussia Dortmund last week.
Pundits expected him to find a new club after the move, but instead, Schurrle surprised everyone by announcing he will not be suiting up anymore.
The German forward was part of the 2014 FIFA World Cup-winning roster. He has appeared in 57 matches for Germany and has scored 22 goals.
Schurrle started his senior football career in 2009 with 1. FSV Mainz 05. He has also played for Bayer Leverkusen.
