NBA: Pacers’ Oladipo to join team in Orlando but sit out games
Indiana Pacers all-star Victor Oladipo will be joining the team in Orlando for NBA’s season restart later this month but only as a spectator.
The 6-4 guard reveals he intends to continue his rehab from an injury while also being able to support his teammates from the sidelines.
As he explains to The Athetic’s Shams Charania:
“As a competitor and teammate this is tearing me apart … but I truly believe continuing on the course I’m on and getting fully healthy for the 2020-21 season is the right decision for me.”

Oladipo managed to play only 13 games this year, averaging 13.8 PPG, 3.2 RPG, and 3.0 APG.
He ruptured his quad tendon in December of 2019.
The Pacers are 39-26 in the Eastern Conference, still good enough for 5th seed at this point.
Even without Oladipo, Indiana is looking to make a good run in the playoffs with guys like Malcolm Brogdon, Jeremy Lamb, TJ Warren, Domantas Sabonis, and Myles Turner.
