NBA: John Wall wants Wizards to sign DeMarcus Cousins

Washington Wizards star guard John Wall is pushing for his team to sign free agent center DeMarcus Cousins.

In an interview with The Undefeated, Wall said he has been eyeing a reunion with Cousins for a considerable amount of time now.

“Oh man, you know I’m trying to push for that. I’ve been on that for like five years. I want to sign him right now.”

Wall and Cousins played together in Kentucky before entering the NBA.

Cousins has been a free agent since being let go of the Los Angeles Lakers.

It was reported that Cousins may opt to stay a free agent to continue his rehab.

The veteran big man tore his ACL last offseason while already a part of the Lakers roster.

Cousins is still a serviceable big when healthy, although his decision to stay a free agent, if true, might mean the Lakers still have future plans for him.

But it’s really up to Wall’s convincing powers if the Wizards add the big man to their fold.
