FIBA: Norwood included in Top 32 Dunks of the Decade bracket
FIBA launched an interactive Dunks of the Decade bracket on its website which shall allow basketball fans around the world to vote on the best slams of the past 10 years.
And one of the iconic dunks which are included in the 32 nominees is Gabe Norwood’s own poster dunk over Luis Scola during Gilas Pilipinas’ clash with Argentina back in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
A dunk that has resonated among Filipino fans as an indelible moment in international basketball history, Norwood’s dunk over Scola made headlines during that time, and is still a great memory that is on repeat for Gilas fans.
Unfortunately, Gilas couldn’t get away with a victory as Argentina stormed back and took an 85-81 win over the Philippines that night.
Norwood’s dunk is just one of 32 amazing dunks in the past 10 years, which includes nominations from Jaylen Brown, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and James Harden.
Fans can vote from June 10 to 28 to decide which among the 32 dunks stands out as the best of the 2010s.
