NBA trade rumors: Bradley Beal to Nets? Talks ‘a sign of respect’, says Wizards guard

Washington Wizards all-star guard Bradley Beal has been in trade talks recently, and he says being included in such rumors is “a sign of respect.”

Speaking to ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan, Beal admitted he can’t help but notice being included in rumors, in spite of signing a contract extension with the Wizards.

“To me, I look at it as a sign of respect, that I’ve been doing good things and guys want to play with me,” Beal said. “That’s an unbelievable feeling. When you hear that Kyrie (Irving) and KD (Kevin Durant) want you, s–t, that’s amazing. At the same time, you don’t know how much there is to it, or how easy it would be to do. And I’ve put down roots in D.C. I’ve dedicated myself to this town, this community. I love it here, and it would feel great to know I could grind out winning here instead of jumping to another team.”

One speculation as reported by the New York Daily News is having Beal shipped to the Brooklyn Nets to form a Big 3 with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant.

Coincidentally, the trade rumor surrounding Beal has been around just when the guard revealed he was almost traded to James Harden during the 2012 NBA Draft night.

The 2-time all-star has been on a tear this season, averaging 30.5 PPG and 6.1 APG, while shooting 46% from 3-pt range.

It is obvious that there are other squads interested in the shooter, but making a deal has to wait until the next offseason.
