COVID-19: Bongbong Marcos tests positive for coronavirus

Former Philippines senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), multiple reports say.

The news comes a week after Marcos announced he is awaiting the test results for the illness, which has affected more than 2,000 Filipinos to date.

The 2016 Vice Presidential candidate felt “unwell” after a recent trip to Spain, as mentioned by his sister, senator Imee Marcos.

At least four politicians have tested positive for coronavirus: Senators Sonny Angara, Koko Pimentel, and Miguel Zubiri, and Representative Eric Yap.
