Alab Pilpinas falls to Mono Vampire anew, 102-89

San Miguel Alab Pilipinas couldn’t keep track with Mono Vampire, falling 102-89 Sunday in Caloocan in the continuing 2019-2020 ASEAN Basketball League season.

Michael Morrison and Mike Singletary combined for 46 points, each scoring 23 as the Thai club made it 2-1 in their regular season head-to-head series.

Morrison also had 9 rebounds while Singletary had 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Tyler Lamb and Preston Knowles provided solid support with 18 and 17 markers, respectively.

Mono strengthened their hold of the top spot in the team standings with a 9-3 record, while Alab fell to 6-4 in 3rd spot.

Prince Williams in his 2nd game as Alab import, scoring 23 points including 5-6 from 3-point land.

However, Sam Deguara was the only other double-figure scorer at 18 points. Nick King struggled mightily, shooting only 6 points on 6-17 shooting.

After Jeremiah Gray pulled Alab closer early in the 4th period with a triple, 70-77, Lamb went on a personal 6-0 run of his own.

Later, baskets by Morrison and Freddie Lish extended the lead to 13, before a dagger triple by Singletary under the final minute made it 100-85.

Mono beat Alab during their season opener, 111-76 although the Philippine side got back, 96-73 a few weeks back.
