Barangay Ginebra legend Mark Caguioa says he can still play for another 10 years

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel legend Mark Caguioa confirmed that he will suit up for another season for the GinKings following a renewal with the club.

The 40-year-old PBA veteran broke the news yesterday at Ginebra’s celebration show following their 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup title win.

The charismatic shooting guard, one half of the dreaded “Fast and Furious” tandem along with then teammate Jayjay Helterbrand, said per an online report that his body still feels okay, and that he can still keep going for years.

“My body is not hurting. I feel like I can still go for 10 years or something like that,” he said. “But I’m just saying that. I still feel good, you know what I mean?”

Caguioa was the 2012 MVP of the league. He is also a 13-time all-star and an 8-time champion.

While he has not been playing significant minutes anymore, Caguioa sometimes provides much needed impact for coach Tim Cone in some games.

His veteran presence will still be valuable for youngsters in the Ginebra roster.
