Alab Pilipinas gets 1st win of ABL season over Wolf Warriors behind Heading, Wyatt

San Miguel Alab Pilipinas blew an early lead before surging late to withstand the Macau Black Bears in overtime, 114-110 for their maiden win of the 2019-2020 ASEAN Basketball League season Wednesday night.

Sharpshooter Jordan Heading bounced back with 27 big points on 9/14 shooting including 6/10 from 3-point land.

Khalif Wyatt added 24 points off the bench, also hitting 6/10 from long range.

Alab shot a remarkable 17-38 from 3-point area throughout the game.

Nick King filled the stat sheets with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists while Jason Brickman facilitated well with 14 points, 7 boards, and 12 dimes.

Alab built a 30-20 1st quarter lead but Macau, the home team, stormed back with a 29-11 3rd quarter to seize the lead.

The Philippine side forced overtime eventually, before their imports delivered huge shots for the win.

Alab is now 1-1 in the young ABL season.
