“Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them” has not yet debuted in theaters, but JK Rowling is already offering a few teases to the sequel. It’s been announced that “Harry Potter” favorite Dumbledore will be in the follow up movie as young man and it looks like he will be an openly gay character.

“Fantastic Beasts” is already set for a five-part offering, with David Yates done directing the first installment that will be out this November. JK Rowling, who is also writing the screenplay to all of the movies, teased that his character’s relationship with dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald will be explored in the movie. It has been rumored that Johnny Depp is playing the Grindelwald.

“I can’t tell you everything I would like to say because this is obviously a five-part story so there’s lots to unpack in that relationship,” JK Rowling said during a press conference for “Fantastic Beasts.”

“You will see Dumbledore as a younger man and quite a troubled man — he wasn’t always the sage. We’ll see him at that formative period of his life,” she confirmed, adding that more will be detailed about the sequel in the months to come.

Dumbledore’s sexuality was confirmed by JK Rowling herself in 2007.
