Will CBS be hatching up a crossover with “NCIS” and “Bull”? Actor Michael Weatherly has a few suggestions.

The former star of “NCIS” who now headlines the legal drama “Bull” on the same network has pitched a crossover that might actually work. According to TV Guide, Michael Weatherly could reprise his “NCIS” character Tony DiNozzo on his new show, with the help of special effects.

On “Bull,” Michael Weatherly plays jury expert Dr. Jason Bull, which is based on Dr. Phil (who is also the show’s executive producer). Of course, “NCIS” cannot forget Tony DiNozzi, the former detective who works as a field agent for Major Case Response Team (MCRT).

Whether such a crossover can happen is still up for contention with CBS. But then again, the network already have the resources and talents, so the idea might not be far off.

Micheal Weatherly left “NCIS” last season to pursue different options for work, but ended up going back to TV. “Bull” is still a freshman show, but has earned between 11-15 million in its weekly ratings, TV Series Finale reports. CBS has already given the show a full season order, so it’s sticking around until May 2017 for now.

“Bull” also stars Freddy Rodriguez, Geneva Carr, Jaime Lee Kirchner, Annabelle Attanasio, and Christopher Jackson and airs every Tuesday nights on CBS.
