NBC has ordered a dramedy from the writer of “Crazy Stupid Love,” Dan Fogelman. The show is called “This is Us” and it will star Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia.

“This is Us” is actually an ensemble cast and will delve on the different stories of young individuals whose lives will “challenge your everyday presumptions about the people you think you know,” per Entertainment Weekly. Also joining Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia are Justin Hartley, Susan Kelechi Watson, Ron Cephas Jones, Chris Sullivan and Chrissy Metz.

The series is expected to join NBC’s 2016-2017 slate. The network has also just signed on “Powerless” to series, which is based off a DC Comics story. It will star Vanessa Hudgens, Danny Pudi, Alan Tudyk and Christina Kirk. Check out the synopsis for “Powerless” via IGN:

“In the first comedy series set in the universe of DC Comics, Vanessa Hudgens (“Grease Live,” “High School Musical”) plays Emily, a spunky young insurance adjuster specializing in regular-people coverage against damage caused by the crime-fighting superheroes. It’s when she stands up to one of these larger-than-life figures (after an epic battle messes with her commute) that she accidentally becomes a cult “hero” in her own right … even if it’s just to her group of lovably quirky co-workers. Now, while she navigates her normal, everyday life against an explosive backdrop, Emily might just discover that being a hero doesn’t always require superpowers.
