Kevin Bacon To Star In ‘I Am Dick’ For Amazon

Kevin Bacon is coming back to television. The actor will star in “I Love Dick,” which is a comedy series for Amazon’s streaming service. Bacon’s last TV show was the drama-thriller “The Following” on Fox.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Bacon will star as Dick, who is a professor in a Texas academy. Dick is friends with a Chris and Sylvere, a married couple who has a “mutual obsession” with Dick. Kathryn Hahn will also star in the show, which is directed by Jill Solloway. The latter already has a successful series on Amazon, with “Transparent.”

Meanwhile, Bacon is also set to do the remake of “Tremors” on television, which was announced back in November 2015. This comes 25 years after the movie ran in theaters, and the actor is expected to reprise the very same role he played in the film, per Entertainment Weekly. At the moment, no network is still attached for “Tremors,” but it could go to cable TV and there are still no details on when these series will be launched or aired.

Bacon, who became popular in the 80’s, has also starred in films like “Apollo 13” and “Mystic River.” When he’s not acting for TV or films, Bacon is also in a band along with Michael, his brother.
