‘Sleepy Hollow’ Actress Nichole Beharie To Star In ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ Remake

429px-Nicole_Beharie_SDCC_2014_(cropped)Nicole Beharie, most familiar to television fans as Abbie on “Sleepy Hollow” on Fox, has booked her next gig after leaving the series. The actress is set to star in the reboot of “Jacob’s Ladder.”  She will be joining actors Michael Ealy and Jesse Williams.

“Jacob’s Ladder” is a thriller that first ran in theaters in 1990 starring Tim Robbins in the titular role. Jacob is constantly hounded by bad dreams, which are based on his experiences during the Vietnam war. The reboot will be a modern-day re-telling that will be about two brothers. David Rosenthal is attached to direct the reboot, per Variety.

Indie Wire reports that it’s still a mystery as to what role Beharie will play in “Jacob’s Ladder,” but she will likely become one of the lead actor’s girlfriend. Filming for will begin in May.

Fans of “Sleepy Hollow” had been upset upon learning that Beharie’s character was killed off in an episode that aired two weeks ago. But it was later learned that the actress had expressed her intention of leaving the series for good. The show has just ended its third season.
