Hanna-Barbera Cinematic Universe Planned, It Will Begin With Scooby-Doo!
“Scooby-Doo” is going to get a reboot for 2018, but there’s actually more to this than initial plans. Reports have it that the movie will trigger the beginning of a Hanna-Barbera Cinematic Universe.
Slashfilm reports that the “Scooby-Doo” reboot already has an official title and it will be called “S.C.O.O.B.” Warner Bros. Animation is behind the film and will also map out the Hanna-Barbera CU.
“S.C.O.O.B” will be helmed by Tony Cervone and the announcement to the cinematic universe was revealed at the CinemaCon this week. Details are still unclear at this point, but Entertainment Weekly reports reboots of “Wacky Races” and “SeaLab” could be in theaters by 2020.
The Warner Bros. Animation group has had some success with “The Lego Movie” in 2014. Phil Lord and Chris Miller will deliver “Lego Batman” this year.
