‘Princess Diaries 3’ With Anne Hathaway Is Coming

215px-Princess_diaries_ver1“Princess Diaries” pushed Anne Hathaway’s popularity in the 2001 and the film had two installments. It looks like a third film is about to get made as Garry Marshall, the movie’s director, confirmed that he’s in talks with the actress to reprise the role.

“I was with Anne Hathaway a couple weeks ago, it looks like we want to do Princess Diaries 3 in Manhattan,”  said Marshall in an interview with People.  But before they can get started with work, Hathaway has to give birth first.  “So, we have to wait until she has the baby and then I think we’re going to do it.”

“Princess Diaries 3” talks began buzzing in June 2015, but was immediately shot down by a Disney insider given that there the actress and director are busy with other projects, per Entertainment Weekly.

Marshall is also counting on Chris Pine to return for the third film. He, along with Hathaway, have become huge stars long after their “Princess Diaries” appearance.

Hathaway went on to become an Academy-award winning actress, while Pine is the star of the 2009 blockbuster movie “Star Trek.” Still, Marshall is hopeful it will all come together.  But all other details will have to wait until Hathaway is done with her maternity leave from showbiz.
