WATCH: Ronda Rousey almost committed suicide after UFC 193 loss

Travis Browne stood out as reason to prevent Ronda Rousey from taking her life

When Ronda Rousey lost to Holly Holm at UFC 193 back in November, many knew that she was pretty down in the dumps.

She remained silent for quite time after receiving a devastating blow to the head which saw her fall in the second round.

Holm was simply too much for the previously undefeated UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion, using her boxing and kickboxing skills to the max which Rousey found too much to overcome.

Until now, no one really knew what went on in Rousey’s mind though her ego was severely battered.

Speaking for the first time about it, Rousey reveals to TMZ that it went as far as her considering suicide as she tried to walk through this dark stage of her life.

“Honestly, my thought I was like, in the medical room and I was down in the corner. I was sitting in the corner like, What am I anymore if I’m not this? And I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself and that exact second.”

“I’m like I’m nothing … what do I do anymore and no one gives a sh*t about me anymore without this.”

Many felt that Rousey was severely down in the dumps but not to that point. Many felt she was done with the UFC but never did it cross anyone’s mind that she would go as far as even considering suicide as an option.

So how did she get back to her senses? Because of one man named Travis Browne.

Browne was the saving grace for Rousey when she realized that she wanted to have the UFC fighter’s babies.

The two have been going steady (per MMAFighting.com) for some time now, something that was brought out in the open last year.

Whether one agrees or not with their relationship, the good thing for now is that Rousey found reason to shun that foolish thought and go on.

Though she didn’t mention it, it may not be surprising if Browne was also the reason why she is now back in the gym training as she preps for a rematch with Holm at a date that has yet to be announced.
