Fourth ‘Chicago’ show spinoff, ‘Chicago Law,’ Set on NBC
NBC’s “Chicago Med, “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago PD” will be joined by another show, as the development of “Chicago Law” is confirmed to be pushing forward.
The Hollywood Reported confirmed the franchise’s expansion after news of the series was talked about a few weeks before.
“Dick Wolf has been responsible for some of the biggest hits in NBC history, including SVU and the current three Chicago dramas, Fire, P.D., and Med,” said Jennifer Salke, NBC Entertainment President.
Deadline reported that the new series is set for launch in the 2016-2017 season, which begins in the fall. Some of the district attorney characters that will be in the show will be seen in “Chicago PD” that is currently airing on NBC. t. “You may see, in the same way you saw in the last three years, some people doing legal things that would give an insight into where that could go,” Dick Wolf told the press.
“Chicago Fire” is currently on its 4th season and has been renewed to return next year.
“Chicago P.D.,” developed a year after “Fire’s” debut” is also getting a fourth season.
“Chicago Med,” which debuted only last Nov. 17, 2015, is still waiting on its renewal notice, but it is expected that the series will be back next season, too.
