Yes, the ‘Friends’ Cast is Reuniting – But It’s not what You Think!
“Friends” stars David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow are going to be on the small screen again. They have been invited to appear in a two-hour special on NBC.
The cast of the famous sitcom will be part of the tribute to director James Burrows, who shot the 1000th episode of his career sometime in November, according to Deadline. The veteran director has worked on 15 episodes of “Friends” and have also done episodes of a lot of the sitcoms viewers have watched in the past four decades.
But while the “Friends” cast are expected to appear in the special, it’s still unclear whether they will be on the screen together. ” “I’m hoping all six will be in the same room at the same time,” said NBC head Robert Greenblatt, via Telegraph. “I’m not sure we can logistically pull it off.”
Fans of the show have been hoping to see the cast back on television since “Friends” ended 12 years ago, but its creator, Marta Kaufman, expressed it will never happen, per E! Online.
Aside from “Friends” stars of “Will & Grace,” “Frasier” and “Cheers” are going to be in the James Burrows special tribute. It will be airing on NBC in February.
