Globe Telecom partnered with The Mind Museum and Teach for the Philippines to bring Star Wars closer to more public school students and increase their appreciation for science and technology through the popular movie franchise.

Through a partnership with TMM, the largest science museum in the country and TFP, a non-stock, non-profit that works to provide children with an inclusive, relevant, and excellent education, Globe treated 100 public school students to a day filled with Star Wars experience. Activities included viewing of Star Wars artifacts and toys from The Mind Museum’s “High on Sci-fi” Exhibit and a story book read-along of the popular movie series.

“Globe is deeply committed to providing wonderful learning experiences for the youth sector. Through the different Star Wars activities that we prepared for them, we are hoping that Globe was able to enhance appreciation and understanding of science and technology among the youth sector for nation-building, believing that this is key in promoting growth in developing economies like the Philippines,” Globe Senior Vice President for Corporate Communications Yoly Crisanto said.

The country’s leader in digital services and purveyor of digital lifestyle, Globe Telecom’s CSR initiative involving Star Wars is in line with its comprehensive and multiyear collaboration with The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia whose brands include Star Wars.
